Hilary Erhard Duff is an American actress singer song writer entrepreneur and book author.
BIOGRAPHY
Hilary was born on September 28 th 1987 in Houston Texas to Bob and Susan Duff . When Hilary was six she had been traveling in the Cechetti Ballet with her sister Haylie Duff but decided she wanted to fulfill her dream of acting . Her first part was in the mini series True Women 1997 T V but her first staring role was an Ellie in The Soul Clollecter 1999 T V for which she won a best performance in a T V Movie or pilot young Artist Award. Hilary also starred in Casper Meets Wendy in which she played the young witch Wendy.
CAREER
Very surprisingly, Hilary made the announcement in 2003: she will no longer play the role of Lizzie McGuire because of a contract dispute with Disney. That’s the moment when the young Hilary got her first movie role in an independent production in 2001. The movie was called “Human Nature”.
The next movie Hilary played in “Agent Cody Banks” together with Frankie Muniz in 2003. Released on March 13, the movie was a real hit. That’s the moment when Hilary decided that it’s time to play in her first film with million-dollar budget: “The Lizzie McGuire Movie”. The next movie she played in was “Cheaper by the Dozen”, together with the great actors Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt. The next project she got involved in was "A Cinderella Story" together with the actor Chad Michael Murray. For this movie she received 2 million dollars.

Hilary Duff’s next projects are Foodfight, a movie in which she will lend her voice to the character named Sunshine Goodness and Talking to Dog. Both of them will be released in 2008.
PERSONAL LIFE
Duff dated singer Aaron Carter in 2002 while she was on the set of “Lizzie McGuire” and their relationship lasted for almost a year and a half. Carter left Lindsay Lohan for Hilary Duff and that was the reason for the quarrel between the two movie stars. In 2007, the two finally reconciled. Hilary Duff also dated Joel Madden (Good Charlotte singer) in 2004 and their relation lasted for about two years finally ending at the dawn of 2006. The beautiful actress is also very involved in charities: she is a member of “Kids with a Cause”, and has donated 250,000 dollars for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. She even helped the USA Harvest to distribute meals for the victims in New Orleans in August 2006.
Hilary Duff is for sure one of the brightest stars of Hollywood and one of the most beautiful women alive.
